在17日联合国秘书长青年特使办公室举办的高级别青年交流会中，联合国秘书长青年特使贾亚特玛·维克拉马纳亚克高度评价王猛关于用科学促进可持续发展的设想以及所取得的成果。
2023年世界青年科学家峰会即将在中国温州举办。王猛与来自全球多个国家和国际组织的青年科学家正在筹备在华设立“世界青年科学家联合会”，并发起“可持续发展青年科学家贡献奖”，用以长期支持和鼓励全球青年科学家为可持续发展贡献力量。据介绍，这是全球范围内首个设立的关于“可持续发展目标”的青年科学家奖项，得到多个国际组织的大力支持。
