世针联洪伯荣中医针灸传承基地授牌仪式在纽约举行

世界针灸学会联合会（世针联）洪伯荣中医针灸传承基地授牌仪式5月21日在纽约举行。世界针灸学会联合会主席刘保延，世界针灸学会联合会终身名誉主席、美国针灸医学会会长洪伯荣，纽约中医学院校长陈业孟， 纽约州众议员金兑锡，世界针灸学会联合国副主席林榕生，世针联洪伯荣中医针灸传承基地徐滨医师，国际中医药癌症研究与治疗联盟主席张德超以及张伟超医师等出席了授牌仪式。

洪伯荣在授牌仪式上说：“针灸发源于中国，是中医的重要组成部分，小小银针承载着中华民族的文化，凝聚着中国人的智慧。传承基地的任务是为中医针灸代表性传承人理论研究创造条件，培养合格的中医针灸学术继承人，研究并推广用中医经络理论来指导针灸临床，用精湛的中医针灸技术为人类预防和治疗疾病。”

他说：“我希望以传承基地为基础，开展更多的文化交流及技术研究，共同追求更新的高度，让美国中医针灸事业得到更好的传承和发展。我坚信，世界针灸学会联合会洪伯荣中医传承基地的成立，将有利于推动中医针灸传承和发展，促进对外交流与合作，提升中医诊疗水平，更好地为患者服务。作为世界非物质文化遗产的针灸医术，必将迎来崭新的春天。”

洪伯荣出生于台湾的医生世家，他的父亲、多位姐姐及姐夫均从事医学工作。据他回忆，父亲是外科医生，二次世界大战美军轰炸台湾时，常有受伤的军人被送到家中，见到父亲为病人开刀是他童年记忆中印象最深刻的一部分。“我不喜欢见血，而对中医情有独钟”。随着学习的不断深入，洪伯荣愈肯定定针灸的应用范围广阔，若能与西医搭配合，将对人类医学产生重大影响。

与此同时，洪伯荣发现，中医长期未被西方世界所认可，甚至遭西医体系打压。为让世人认识中医针灸，他开始了长达近50年的使命——推广及争取中医及针灸的地位。1968年起，他先后在新加波、马来西亚、巴西、加拿大、美国等地进行考察，最后选定纽约作为试点。

陈业孟向洪伯荣赠送书法祝辞

1972年，他在纽约曼哈顿的针灸诊所开业。针对当时针灸在美国属“无照行医”的困境，他先是在教会、学校等地宣讲中医，并成立了美国最早的针灸团体“美国针灸医学会”，开始推动各州为针灸立法。

1975年，纽约州通过了针灸法案，该法案允许中医独立行医。同时，洪伯荣也参与了纽约州、华盛顿特区和南卡州的针灸法案制订及针灸执照核发工作。他本人也于1976年成为首位获得纽约州教育厅针灸执照的华裔医师。

由于当时保险公司将针灸视为实验性治疗，认为疗效和结果不够稳定，针灸所用的针也不被承认属医疗仪器。为将针灸纳入医疗及误医保险的给付项目上，他亲自前往中国大陆收集了十几万个病例，在美组织了两场大型学术会议，保险公司终于逐渐承认针灸治疗。为此，他获得时任总统克林顿的亲笔贺信。

洪伯荣目前担任的职务还包括美国针灸中医药研究院院长，历任华盛顿针灸中心主治医师、南卡州针灸中心院长。他曾在1993年获得中国医学科学院颁发的“卓越领导者成就奖”，在1997年和1998年两届世界中医大会分别获得“年度最杰出针灸医师奖”和“最杰出自然疗法医师奖”。世界针灸学会联合会也于1997年授予其“十年杰出贡献奖”，2007年并颁发“世界针联医学发展突出贡献奖”，2013年11月荣获世针联 “终身名誉主席”荣衔。

此外，洪伯荣还是1991年出版30集中国针灸学录像教学带的英文主编，该录像带曾是全美中医针灸学校的教学教材。2014年，洪伯荣成为“艾利斯岛杰出移民奖”首位华裔针灸医师获奖者，随后于2017年12月3日获世界针灸学会联合会首届“天圣铜人奖”。

洪伯荣多次受邀进出白宫，与美国前总统克林顿建立了私人友谊。

在世界卫生组织、世界针灸学会联合会、中国卫生部及中国针灸学会共同努力下，2010年11月16日联合国教科文组织将中医针灸列入人类非物质文化遗产代表作名录。
