“我们不能再为我们的儿子做任何事了，但我们现在做的事情可以帮助其他的孩子。”克里斯托福罗的母亲说。
52岁的乔治·尼科拉乌（Geoge Nicolaou）和49岁的阿瑞蒂·尼科拉乌（Areti Nicolaou）说，他们注意到儿子的行为发生了一个相对突然的变化，但从未料到会发生这样的事情。
他们说，克里斯托福罗斯是一个“很受欢迎的孩子”，他喜欢运动和烹饪，总是想帮助别人。
尼科拉乌说，他的儿子在生命的最后40到50天里从一个“快乐和阳光的”孩子变成了一个另外 一个人。
他说，改变后的儿子“除了显得更孤僻之外，他还开始在深夜看恐怖电影，在回卧室前吃得很快，还抱怨头疼“。
直到克里斯托福罗斯死后，他的父母才发现他参与了至少一个在线论坛，在那里他被接到了“可怕的信息”。
尼科拉乌说:“我打开他的笔记本电脑，在一个特定的论坛上发现了非常可怕的对话。可怕的对话！”
他的母亲说，有一个人花了几天时间告诉他试着结束自己的生命，他们最后的信息是：”你死了吗?”
为此，他们成立了克里斯托福罗斯慈善基金会(CCF)作为儿子的遗产。
尼科拉乌说:“如今，我们的房子显得空空荡荡的，我们现在为其他人而活着。
“我们两个人希望帮助其他父母和孩子。”
尼科拉乌说，他们希望家长们“对孩子们的行为保持警惕，并鼓励孩子们在“外面的世界”享受“更有趣的活动”。
“试着和你的孩子谈谈，找到一种方法。父母了解他们的孩子，所以我们需要找到一种方法与他们交谈，试图进入他们的思想。我知道这很难——他们都是青少年——但我们必须试一试。”
