比斯利访问了位于土叙边境的联合国运输中心。在那里，一支由21辆卡车组成的车队已经装载了380吨食物和其他救援物资，将通过巴布哈瓦口岸前往叙利亚西北部非政府控制地区。
自边境口岸重新开放以来，粮食署已向叙西北部运送了180辆卡车的物资。

此外，该机构还需要3亿美元来维持在叙利亚全境每月为550万人提供粮食援助的计划。粮食署表示，如果无法获得这笔资金，该机构将被迫在几个月内暂停对380万叙利亚人的援助。
