联合国世界粮食计划署执行主任大卫·比斯利2月25日结束了对叙利亚和土耳其地震灾区的访问,他呼吁当局开放更多的人道主义援助通道,帮助两国的地震幸存者。

他表示,虽然全世界已经迅速动员起来支持两国人民,但这次地震的影响将长达数月甚至数年。

此外,该机构还需要3亿美元来维持在叙利亚全境每月为550万人提供粮食援助的计划。粮食署表示,如果无法获得这笔资金,该机构将被迫在几个月内暂停对380万叙利亚人的援助。
