线上支付巨擘PayPal宣布裁员
线上支付服务巨擘PayPal近日表示将裁员2000人，这是最新一家因经济放缓影响业务的金融科技业者，也加入华尔街其他公司寻求以控制成本来度过低迷的行列。
PayPal执行长Dan Schulman发备忘录告诉员工，此次裁员将在未来几周内实施，预计影响7%的员工。他说：“虽然我们在调整成本结构的规模上取得实质进展，并将资源集中于核心战略优先事项，但还有更多的工作要做。”
疫情消退后，PayPal股价因为平台支付量成长放缓而受创，该公司誓言减支，包括裁员和在全美各地关闭多间办公室。
Schulman表示，这些举措应能帮助PayPal去年节省9亿美元，今年再省下13亿美元。现年65岁的的执行长宣扬他的计划能提高营收成长速度，快于支出增速。
Paypal股价周二在纽约上涨2.32%到81.49美元。今年来已劲扬14%，表现优于标普500指数9%的涨幅。
