1959年11月生于内蒙古呼伦贝尔市海拉尔区。
先后毕业于内蒙古扎兰屯师范学校美术专业、中央美术学院年连系（学士学位）、中央民族大学美术学院油画系（硕士学位）。

曾任北京中关村学院美术系主任、副教授。
现任重庆大学艺术学院特聘教授，硕士研究生导师。
中国文艺志愿者协会会员。
中国美术家协会会员。
北京市美术家协会会员。

1995年油画作品《吉雅》获第二届 《“民族百花奖”中国民族美术作品展》油画金牌奖。（北京民族文化宫）
