近东救济工程处面临财政崩溃的边缘，联合国呼吁提供可持续资金援助

联合国6月2日敦促各国为巴勒斯坦难民援助机构——近东救济工程处（UNRWA）提供可持续运转的资金，因该机构正处于财政崩溃的边缘。

长达十年的长期资金短缺和紧缩措施使得近东救济工程处在资金缺口达7500万美元的困境下艰难运作，威胁着其在中东地区的人道援助计划。

UNRWA主任专员拉扎里尼（Philippe Lazzarini）在纽约联合国总部举行的捐款会议上表示：“在我发表讲话的此刻，我们已没有足够的资金让我们的学校、卫生保健中心和其他公共服务在9月之前继续运作。”

近东救济工程处是成立于1949年的临时机构，致力于援助那些从以色列大规模流离失所的巴勒斯坦人，成为联合国最早的人道主义行动之一。如今，约600万人在巴勒斯坦西岸、加沙地带以及叙利亚、黎巴嫩和约旦地区依赖于近东救济工程处提供的援助，而这些援助几乎完全依靠自愿捐款。约三分之一的巴勒斯坦难民居住在难民营中。

近东救济工程处目前正在寻求16亿美元的资金来维持今年的运营。拉扎里尼表示，工程处迫切需要7500万美元用于为加沙地带的100多万人提供食物，并需要额外3000万美元来维持对叙利亚、黎巴嫩和约旦地区60万人的现金和粮食援助。

加沙地带一所男子学校的学生艾哈迈德·阿布·达卡（Ahmad Abu Daqqa）传达了其他同龄人的心声：“我们加沙地带的学生在绝望中寻找着希望。尽管我们生活在冲突和战争地区，面临着无数的困难和障碍，但我们仍相信只有通过教育和学习才能找到希望。”

在约旦一所女子学校就读的15岁学生利恩·沙卡维（Leen Sharqawi）补充说，近东救济工程处的学生为他们的教育、传统和文化感到自豪，他们怀抱着远大的梦想。

她说：“我们不仅仅是巴勒斯坦难民，我们也是梦想成为全球公民的孩子，我们希望能让世界变得更美好。只有良好的教育才能帮助我们实现这一愿景。”
